Promoting Education: 15th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation held virtually

The 15th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation 2022 organized by the People’s Republic of China was launched virtually on Tuesday. Education Ministers of ASEAN member states and Deputy Minister for Education Dr Zaw Myint participated in the event online.

Member of the Chinese Communist Party Guizhou Province Standing Committee, alternate chair of ASEAN Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia and the Secretary-General of ASEAN extended greetings and the Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China gave an inaugural speech.

It was followed by the 3rd China-ASEAN Education Minister Roundtable Conference and ASEAN Education Ministers took part in the discussion online. In the roundtable conference, Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint participated in the discussion with the topic on human resource enhancement and discussed the ways for the capacity building of teachers, students and admin/finance staffs and promoting China-ASEAN education cooperation.

The China-ASEAN education ministers also exchanged views among each other.
