School Health Activities: Taninthayi Region CM Attended The Ceremony

The ceremony commemorating 2022-2023 academic year Taninthayi Region District level school health activities and nutritional development week was held at the Nawarat Hall of Boke Pyin Basic Education High School on 21 August and was graced by the presence of Chief Minister U Myat Ko, region ministers, region, district and township level departmental officials, teachers from the basic education schools and the students.

 At the ceremony, the Chief Minister U Myat Ko said that the higher health standard of students and young people plays the crucial role to build up a healthy society. As the future development of a country is depended on the education and health standards of the citizens, the health standard of the students who are the future human resources of the country is paramount important etc.

Next, the head officer of medical service and public health department Dr. Aung Ngwe San clarified the school health activities and nutritional development week and the chief minister, ministers and officials awarded prizes to the winner students in the basic education level essay, painting and cartoon contests held in commemorating the school health activities and nutritional development week.

Later, the chief minister and guests looked round the exhibition booths displayed at the high school in commemorating the school health activities and nutritional development week.

Afterward, the chief minister and party provided supplemental foods and iron supplements to the expectant mothers and feeding mothers, fed vitamin-A supplement and gave the presents to the children under 5 and viewed the feeding nutritional foods to KG students.

Later, the chief minister and party paid homage to the presiding Sayadaw of Man Aung Priyatti Sarthintaik in Aungmingalar ward, Boke Pyin Township and offered robe, offertories and dried rations to the Sayadaw, it’s reported.
