COVID-19 Update: 33 new COVID-19 cases reported on August 21

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 33 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 5,899 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 16 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 614,654 with 19,437 deaths and 593,231 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Among the 33 new cases, 5 cases are those who come from abroad and the rest 28 cases are the local transmissions, it’s stated.
