Former Maryland power plant imploded

The former C.P. Crane Generating Station in Maryland has come crashing down. Demolition crews imploded the plant in Bowleys Quarters on Friday morning.

Video from the Baltimore County Police Department showed the twin smokestacks toppling in a huge cloud of dust. The coal-fired plant opened in 1961 and closed in 2018 under an agreement with the Maryland Department of the Environment.
