Storm Risk Management: Chief Minister Gives Instructions For Preparatory Measures

Chairman of Rakhine State Natural Disaster Management Committee the State Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, the State Security and Border Affairs Minister and the Secretary of Rakhine State Government gave guidance on the storm risk management from the State Natural Disaster Management Committee Command Post regarding the low pressure area over the East central Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal, Northern part of Rakhine.
The Head of Sate Meteorology and Hydrology Department explained about the condition of the current low pressure area and issuing weather forecast by the Department in timely manner.
The officials reported on distribution of awareness pamphlets to people and stockpiling of relief aids for rescue measures, arrangements for communication and formation of disaster management groups.
The chairmen of District Disaster Management Committees reported on arrangements in the respective districts, future plans and the needs through video conferencing on which the Chief Minister coordinated essentials.
