







Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that this kind of situation has been reached because it did not solve the voting frauds politically and it was solved with terrorist ways.
If the politic is not solved with politically and is made solution with armed and violent acts, it will be difficult to maintain stability. If terrorism is committed without a political solution, it will only be carried out through counter-terrorism procedures and they are maintaining without any intentionally attack.
He said these words at the State Administration Council Meeting (7/2022) at the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw, Tuesday. In regard with disbursing the state economic development fund, the Senior General said that in the last week, a coordination meeting was held with the region and state chief ministers and the Chairmen of Self-Administered Zones and Division.
After the meeting, the State economic promotion funds have been provided to Regions and States and the Self-Administered Zones and Division.
It is to encourage paddy and bean cultivation that will directly contribute to the country's economy. There are about 15 million acres of monsoon paddy in the country and it has still difficulty for irrigated water.
Therefore, in order to use the funds as soon as possible, the summer paddy cultivation was carried out. Likewise, the mung bean cultivations have been prioritized as the mung beans have also the markets that can be exported abroad.
The appropriate funds were disbursed for the regions and states where the summer paddy and mung bean have not been cultivated. The fund also aims to revitalize the economy affected by COVID-19.
The Senior General said that purchasing of fertilizers will be carried out from the profits gained from the summer crops and the necessary fertilizers and insecticides will be provided for agricultural tasks.
He also pointed out that it will be carried out through the cooperative system in carrying out agricultural tasks. They will carry out for getting fertilizers, water and strains that are necessary for summer paddy cultivation and the farmers need to make efforts to produce at least 100 baskets per acre.
In regard with the needs for export by manufacturing sufficient products in local for the state’s economic development, the senior General pointed out that the country has annual trade deficits and it is found that the tasks are being operated with foreign loans and assistance fund.
It needs to produce the products sufficiently for export to generate foreign income. He also clarified on production of import substitute for reviving the state economy and stressed the needs on manufacturing the products sufficiently in local than import from abroad, upgrading of techniques and necessary machines, producing quality cotton for finished products and efforts for production and trade development for the state economic progress.
Regarding politics, the Senior General stressed that if the social and political issues can be resolved, the country will be stable and peace process is also underway to apply a multi-party democratic system and build a union based on democracy and federalism.
Regarding social issues, it’s necessary to create a living system that is appropriate to the knowledge and skills of the people. In order to have a good living system, education and good economy are necessary. Regarding socioeconomic issue, the 2 main objectives are prosperity of the country and abundance of food.
Regarding establishment of union based on democracy and federalism, he said that peace is important and highlighted the recent peace talks with 10 ethnic armed organizations. He also expressed plan to meet with the organizations in August and September.
Regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, the Senior General stressed the importance of vaccination programme and that it’s important to follow the prevention guidelines and there is a need to carry out systematic checks at border gates and international airports.
He also urged the Council members to make efforts for implementation of the tasks by the State Administration Council. And, the Council members reported on the need to enact a law that can effectively take action against foreign influencers, national traitors and state treason.
Also, matters including stone inscriptions regarding the Mara Vijaya Marble Buddha Image; action against those who are working to destabilize the country's commodity prices and fuel prices; foreign currency earned from foreign exports to operate regularly in the domestic market; measures that should be taken to stop terrorist attacks in the country; and the methods that should be taken to stabilize the value of the currency in the country.
In his response, the Senior General said that regarding the domestic foreign currency exchange rate, there is no financial stability due to greedy people playing in the market.
Regarding fuel, there is enough until the end of this month; the purchased fuel will also arrive soon; and the fuel purchased from Russia will arrive shortly after the end of this month and will continue to arrive. Efforts are being made for the country's politics and economic recovery during the next 6 months.
