Further Clarification: MSWRR clarifies facts from Head of State’s guidance

A further clarification on the facts that should be known from the guidances of Head of State to the head-offices of the Department of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Region/State/District heads was held at the Ministry on Monday.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine said that the clarification is made to understand the current policy-making and implementation processes of the country and to carry out assigned duties through the leadership of administrative bodies in the respective regions and cooperation among the department.

The Union Minister stressed the needs on preparedness for disaster management, measures for the rights of vulnerable groups who are taking cares in Parahita Gayher and guest houses and she called for the staff to perform duties excellently.

Later, Deputy Minister U Aung Tun Khine discussed drafting Standing Order 2022 for Natural Disaster Management that has been implemented out of Quick Win Projects being undertaken by the Ministry, approval of Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 5-year project (2022-2027) and drafting projects to develop plans for rehabilitation centers for drug addicts and the permanent secretary clarified about progress of the previous meeting decisions.

The Region/State Heads reported on progress of works and the requirements to be fulfilled. The Union Minister and the Deputy Minister coordinated essential on it.
