Illegal Trade: Illegal Timber, Vehicles And Consumer Goods Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.
On the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th of August, illegal teak, timber, diesel engine oil, vehicles and consumber goods were seized in Aunglan and Minbu, Kengtung and Indaw townships and also at Kantalu checkpoint as well as in Maubin Township and at Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) checkpoint.
In total, illegal timber, vehicles and consumer goods worth over 25 million Kyats were seized. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
