Peru prosecutor opens 6th investigation of Castillo

A new federal investigation has been launched against President Pedro Castillo, the sixth such inquiry against him during the year he has been president.
Prosecutor Patricia Benavides will investigate Castillo and his Minister of Transportation, Geiner Alvarado for allegedly being members of a criminal organization.
This latest case is the first time in Peru's history a federal prosecutor has investigated a sitting president.
