Drivers forced to abandon cars amid Dakar floods

At least one person died and several cars and streets were damaged in Dakar following heavy rains. A big part of the city was blocked by water that flooded streets and roads.

Drivers, caught by the heavy rain, were forced to abandon their vehicles after they became completely covered by flood waters.

One of the Citizen said that he witnessed the death of one person who was trying to help move a vehicle from the flooded road and the intensity of the rain is huge, it's not like the rains of the past, nowadays" he said.
