Colombia's outgoing President, Ivan Duque, took part in the celebration of the 212th anniversary of the Army, where he gave his last speech to the military forces.

The Colombian Army displayed the institution's skills and capabilities at the Tolemaida Military Fort, Latin America's largest military training centre.

Duque bid farewell to his greatest allies during his four years in office, for whom he had words of thanks in a passionate speech.

Iván Duque's mandate ends next Saturday, and on Sunday, Gustavo Petro - elected in the run-off on 19 June with more than 11 million votes - will receive the presidency.
