





Peruvian Indigenous farmers from regions associated with coca leaf crops on Thursday exhibited cocoa and chocolate products at a fair in Lima. The chocolate fair is promoted by the Peruvian government in cooperation with the US and Switzerland, as part of efforts to eradicate coca leaf crops.
Chocolate producers and cacao growers gave workshops on how to transform cocoa seeds into chocolate, displayed multiple items derived from it and held business meetings with international investors. Some 15,000 people are expected to visit the Hall of Cacao and Chocolate at Lima's Convention Center. The cocoa and chocolate fair will go on until July 17.
