Cycling fans brave the rain for a glimpse of Le Tour

Cycling fans in Copenhagen didn't let rain dampen their spirits as they lined the streets of the Danish capital to watch the opening time trial stage of the Tour de France.

It's the first time cycling's premiere road race has visited the country and the first time it has left France since the Grand Depart in Belgium in 2019.

The race has been well received with many spectators making the effort to stand out in the drizzly conditions, stating they believe it is a once in a lifetime experience.

Three stages will be competed in Denmark before the race returns to France for Stage 4 from Dunkerque to Calais.
