


Cambodia is making preparations to host the 32nd SEA Games in the year of 2023. Chairman of the Myanmar Traditional Chinlone [Cane Ball] Federation said that the Federation is making efforts to add the Chinlone [Cane Ball] sports to the SEA Games sports events.
The Southeast Asian Games, also known as the SEA Games, is a biennial multi-sport event involving participants from the current 11 countries of Southeast Asia.
Chairman, Myanmar Traditional Chinlone Federation, Soe Naing said "The government supports us for that process and I’m trying my best to add the Chinlone [Cane Ball] sports to the SEA Games sports events. We hold meetings with coaches, athletes and managers who had experiences of the abroad competitions. We will go to Cambodia from Thailand on June 21 to persuade them to the process – we will also persuade Laos. National Olympic Committee of Cambodia invited me for the process on June 14."
Myanma traditional Chinlone [Cane Ball] Sport was included in the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar in 2013, 28th one in Singapore in 2015, and 29th one in Malaysia in 2017. But it did not include in the 30th one in the Philippines in 2019 or the recent one, 31st SEA Games, in Vietnam in 2022. The games are under the regulation of the Southeast Asian Games Federation with supervision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
