COVID-19 Update: 58 New COVID-19 Cases Reported On April 5

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 58 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 13,814 patients within 24 hours.

No patient has died due to the disease while 166 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 611,984 with 19,433 deaths and 590,358 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy and the Republic of Korea, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 8:46 pm CEST, 5 April 2022, there have been over 490 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.15 million deaths.
