Red Cross convoy leaves Italy on Ukraine mission

An Italian Red Cross humanitarian convoy left for Lviv in western Ukraine early Sunday to help Ukrainian refugees flee from their war-torn country.

The convoy, which consists of a staff of 51 as well as ambulances, buses, and trucks loaded with supplies and equipment, was expected to drive through Poland and arrive in Lviv on Monday.The Italian personnel will be temporarily based at the Ukrainian Red Cross, where they will collect 100 refugees and return to Italy with them.
