Efforts for easy and smooth trade: MACCS system to be launched at boder gates as of 1st April

The arrangements have been made to operate Myanmar Automated Cargo Clearance System implementing by Myanma Custom Department at Muse and ChinShweHaw border gates on Myanmar-China border as of April 1st, it’s reported.

The educating talk on the system to be smooth operation when the MACCS system is launched at the border gates was conducted via Video Conferencing System on 26th March.

At the educating talk, the Custom Department clarified the process to be adopted in using the system by the government departments, private entrepreneurs and tax service agents who will connect and operate the MACCS and the benefits to be gained.

By using MACCS, the import/export process will be shifted to the automation system from the manual system and the trade and commercial procedures will be smooth and easy and the trading works will develop.

As of 1st April, the Myanmar Automated Cargo Clearance System (MACCS) will be connected and used by the Custom Department, trading related government departments, private entrepreneurs and tax service agents.
