Providing relief items: Kachin State CM provided relief items to the returnees

The event of providing emergency relief items and galvanized iron sheets for the people returned their home from temporary IDP camp was held at the Kachin State Government Office at 10 a.m. on 28th March.

At the event, the Chief Minister of Kachin State U Khet Htein Nan said that the efforts are being put for the resettlement of IDPs and closure of IDP cams in line with the guideline of the State Administration Council.

In such effort, the state government is making utmost efforts as well as the relevant organizations are helping. Today, it’s happy and proud of providing emergency relief items by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement for the households to resettle at their native village of Nan San Yang and each organization should give their helping hands for the long term standing of the families.

Next, the chief minister and ministers provided 73 boxes of family use relief items and 1500 galvanized iron sheets to the 73 households comprised of 354 people who returned their village from the temporary IDP camp and the families accepted the relief items, one of returnees extended words of thanks on behalf of the returned households. Then, the chief minister gave a speech of conclusion, it’s reported.
