Illegal Trade: Illegal Items Worth Over 95 Million Kyats Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On March 26, an unlicensed oil bowser worth about 70 million Kyats at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Checkpoint in Kayin State and illegal motorcycle spare parts worth over 1 million Kyats at TawWinTaDa Checkpoint in Kawthoung Township of Tanintharyi Region were seized.

Also, on March 27, illegal clothes and 2 unlicensed motorcycles worth over 22 million Kyats in Sagaing and Homalin townships of Sagaing Region and teak logs worth over 1 million Kyats in Oatwin Township of Bago Region were seized.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
