An art display featuring French impressionist Claude Monet has opened in Rio de Janeiro, allowing art lovers to immerse themselves in a 21st-century twist on the more than 280 works of the world-famous painter.
Inside the 15-metre-high tent at Rio's Olympic Boulevard, visitors watch a sequence of 2D and 3D animations, creating eight visual narratives, emphasizing one aspect of Monet's work and life, following his steps at water edge landscapes.
The exhibition's production coordinator Breno Gomes said it seeks to showcase Monet's works in a new way. The installation titled “Monet at Water's Edge in Portuguese” opened last week and will remain in Rio until June 12.
