IFRC president Rocca visits Romania border town

Francesco Rocca, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) visited Siret in Romania on Saturday where hundreds of refugees continue to arrive from Ukraine after Russia invaded on February 24.

Rocca expressed concern about the long term impact but added that all institutions are working together to provide the best assistance to those in need.

More than half a million people have arrived in Romania since the beginning of the conflict. 3.3 million People to flee Ukraine, the U.N. estimates.
