Regional Progress: Chief Minister inspects measures for regional development tasks

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win together with officials inspected regional development tasks in Bago on Sunday. First, the Chief Minister and party looked into salvaging tasks in KaungSaeKyun lake in Bago that is being carried out with the regional government fund.

During his inspection, the Chief Minister called on officials to supervise closely salvage in the lake and better water flow to prevent overflow of water on Yangon-Mandalay motor road in Bago and floods in low-lying wards. They then looked into measures for middle lane island on Yangon-Mandalay Highway for the road safety for the people.

The Chief Minister and party then inspected upgrading of roads, construction of water drainages and platforms and called for the maintenance of roads and drainages for long-term durability and completion of the tasks with the target time.

Likewise, they also looked into the site chosen for the construction of a park to take relaxation for public at the junction of Yangon-Mandalay motor road and the west detour road and stressed to supervise the construction tasks and road safety measures.  They also viewed construction of elevator at the Ancient historic HinthaKone Pagoda and upgrading of ancient Hanthawady moat.
