Meeting with Staff and Community Elders: Senior General Discussed Regional Development Matters

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the departmental personnel and townselders in MongKhat and MongYong on separate occasions on Wednesday.

Officials reported on the needs of drinking water supply, education staff, upgrading of roads, issuance of national registration cards under PanKhin Project, preventive measures for COVID-19, upgrading of bridge and regional development works.

The Union Ministers explained the work undertakings for upgrading of roads, drinking water supply, health care services and education sector. The Prime Minister discussed ways for purified drinking water supply and implementation of hydropower project, and pledged to provide the needs for road upgrading works.

He stressed that MongYong area is the rice bowl of Shan State (East), and urged to engage in cultivating variety of crops in addition to paddy. He also reiterated to carry out the caged breeding system which can boost production and gain bio-fertilizer for agriculture purpose.

He also stressed the needs to encourage for education promotion with the cooperative efforts of students, parents and teachers. He also pointed out to implement MongKhat area free from narcotic drug, enjoying socio-economic development.
