
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 2,740 new COVID-19 cases with one death at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 30,497 patients within 24 hours.
4 patients died from COVID-19 and 1,208 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 553,564 with 19,318 deaths and 520,092 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Globally, as of 5:44 pm CET on 16 February, there have been over 414 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.83 million deaths.
