Inspection tour: Union Minister inspected wharfs in Sittwe

The member of State Administration Council Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San together with SAC members Pado Mann Nyein Maung, Daw Aye Nu Sein, U Maung Har, Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay and officials departed from Nay Pyi Taw by flight and arrived at Sittwe in Rakhine State on February 4.

Next, the union minister accompanied by the state ministers arrived at Myanma Port Authority in PhaungTawGyi wharf area, Sittwe Township and was welcomed by the officials concerned. At the briefing hall, the union minister extended words of introduction to the personnel under the ministry and fulfilled upon the reports regarding work implementations of the department and the challenges facing.

Then, the union minister explained the politics, security, economic and social developments and instructed to serve responsibilities dutifully, coordination among the departments, taking care not to infect COVID-19, saving fuel and electricity and clean and tidiness around the department and office.

Afterward, the union minister inspected the condition of PhaungTawGyi wharf of Myanma Port Authority and instructed necessaries. Later, the union minister arrived at Shwe Min Gan wharf in Sittwe, inspected upon the reports of the status of landing and departing of boats transporting goods, flow of goods, condition of the wharf needed renovations as it’s long time served and the substituted construction of big wharfs to replace the small ones and fulfilled the requirements.
