Diamond bud hoisted: Yangon CM hoisted diamond bud and vane atop the pagoda

The auspicious ceremony of hoisting diamond bud and ornamental vane atop the historic Kyaikkalawk pagoda was held in PyiTawThar Ward, Mingaladon Townshp, Yangon Region with the attendance of Yangon Region Chief Minister U Hla soe, region minister for natural resources U Zaw Win, commander of Mingaladon station Brigadier General Win Bo, departmental officials, members of pagoda board of trustee and well wishers.

After opening the ceremony, the congregation observed 9 precepts administered by member of Ovadacariya Sayadaws of historic Kyaikkalawk pagoda and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the Sangha.

Next, the well wishers led by the Chief Minister presented Diamond bud and ornamental vane which will be hoisted atop the pagoda, encircled the pagoda carrying the religious items at the clockwise direction and conveyed them to the pavilion of ornamental carriage.

Then, the members of Sangha, well wishers led by the Chief Minister sprinkled the religious objects with scented water and conveyed onto the top of the pagoda with the flying ornamental carriage.

At the auspicious time, the chief minister, region minister, station commander and well wishers hoisted the diamond bud and ornamental vane atop the pagoda and scattered bank notes from the top of the pagoda to the audience on the ground commemorating the accomplishment of the ceremony.
