Covid-19 Update: 276 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On December 29

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 276 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 13,051 patients within 24 hours.

2 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 220 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 530,276 with 19,262 deaths and 507,806 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Germany, Iran and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:14pm CET, 29 December 2021, there have been over 281 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.41 million deaths.
