Terrorists Attack: Terrorists’ attack in Taninthayi Region left one dead and 4 injured

One passenger died and 4 others injured at an attack by the terrorists in Taninthayi Region. In the early morning of December 24, the terrorists under the names of CRPH, NUG and PDF attacked four passenger buses and a scargo truck on Myeik – Dawei road, about 3,000 meters northwest of PyinPhyuGyi Village in ThaYetChaung Township, with the use of improvised mines and small guns.

Due to the attack, the cargo truck was overturned and the passenger buses were damaged, leaving the death of a passenger and wounded others. The injured persons were sent to Dawei People’s Hospital and are providing medical treatment.

On Friday morning, a combined team of KNPP and PDF terrorists attacked a passenger plane from Myanmar National Airline, landed at Loikaw Airport, with the use of 107 MM rockets. They launched 4 rockets near Bardo Village and cemetery, west of Loikaw, once the passenger plane, carrying 64 passengers, made landing at around 8:35 am. No casualty and damages were reported due to the attack, and the plane left for Yangon after carrying 38 passengers at around 8:45 am.  

Likewise, a local battalion in HsarHmaw of MoeKaung in Kachin State was attacked by KIA and PDF terrorists on Friday morning. About 100 terrorists attacked the local battalion from the northwest area at around 3:00 am, from east of the battalion at around 4:00 am and from No.2 Gate of the battalion at around 4:55 am respectively. After exchange of fire, the terrorists retreated. It is reported that some Tatmadawmen were injured.
