Health minister checks Turkovac,Turkey's first jab

Turkey's drugs regulator has granted emergency use approval for the country's first locally-developed COVID-19 vaccine, TURKOVAC, officials announced Wednesday.Following the announcement, Turkish health minister visited a production facility in Sanliurfa, in the south east of the country, where large vats of the drug were being produced and bottled into vials for distribution.During the visit, Koca said that he expected hospitals to begin administering doses within a week to ten days.The vaccine, which was developed by Turkey's Erciyes University, began its late-stage trials in June.
