Santa dons scuba to put up Xmas tree in shark tank

Two Santas in diving equipment decorated an underwater Christmas tree at the Tropicarium aquarium in Budapest on Thursday, in the company of exotic fish and sharks.

An annual holiday event, the Christmas tree decoration takes place in an underwater tank where visitors can see the two divers dressed as Santa among the aquarium's aquatic life. The water tank holds 1 million litres of saltwater and the tank is home to eight sharks and other sea creatures.

The decorated tree will remain in the tank until the end of the holiday season. Divers said the Christmas tree needs some daily maintenance, as fish tend to knock the tree over or get the decorations snapped off at night.
