WHO director: heath should be considered human right

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) called Thursday for health to be included as a fundamental human right in countries' constitutions. "We ask each and every country on Earth to identify health as a fundamental human right in their constitution," Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.

The move is to enable acceptance across the globe for providing good health care to all. Speaking at the Paris Peace forum, Tedros also discussed the new WHO-backed Berlin hub, a unit designed to provide better data and analysis when dealing with global pandemic and epidemic intelligence.
