Russia reports second day of record COVID deaths

Russia reported record coronavirus deaths for the second day in a row on Wednesday.Russia's state coronavirus task force registered 857 deaths, the country's highest daily number during the pandemic. 

On Wednesday, Russia reported 22,430 new confirmed cases. Kremlin spokesman said the numbers were a serious cause for concern but nationwide restrictions aren't currently being discussed.Russian authorities have reported over 7.4 million confirmed infections and more than 206,000 deaths.
