Geoscience Programmes: 76th CCOP Steering Committee Meeting

Director General Dr. Thet Tin Nyunt from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation joined the 76th CCOP Steering Committee Meeting held by the Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP).

In this meeting on Wednesday afternoon, 66 CCOP Technical Secretariats discussed the 7 programmes.

The Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia is an intergovernmental organization to facilitate and coordinate the implementation of applied geoscience programmes in East and Southeast Asia in order to contribute to the economic development and improvement of the quality of life in the region.

CCOP promotes capacity building, technology transfer, exchange of information and institutional linkages for sustainable resource development, management of geo-information, geo-hazard mitigation and protection of the environment.
