Covid-19 Report: 513 New Cases With 14 Deaths At 8 P.M. On Jan. 18

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 513 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing a total of 22,755 lab specimens within 24 hours, 14 new deaths and 510 patients discharged from the hospitals on 18th January. COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 133,378 with 2,926 deaths and 116,610 patients discharged from the hospital until 8 p.m. on 18th January.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Colombia, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 10:38pm CET, 18 January 2021, there have been over 93.8 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 2.02 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
