Covid-19 Report: 449 New Cases With 13 Deaths At 8 P.M. On Jan. 17

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Sunday reported 449 new COVID-19 cases after testing 17,656 lab specimens. 13 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 582 patients have been discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 134,318 with 2,955 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 17th of January, and 117,663 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far.

According to the World Health Organization Dashboard of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) as of 4:35pm CET on 17th January 2021, the World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 23 million confirmed cases followed by India with more than 10.5 million cases and Brazil with over 8.4 million confirmed cases.

The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Colombia, Argentina and Mexico also include in high confirmed cases of COVID-19. Globally, there have been over 93.1 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 2 million deaths, according to the WHO report.
