Covid-19 Report: 596 New Covid-19 Cases At 8 P.M. On Jan. 6

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 596 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing a total of 17,279 lab specimens within 24 hours, 19 new deaths and 596 Patients discharged from the hospitals on 6th January. COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 128,178 with 2,785 deaths and 111,401 patients discharged from the hospital until 8 p.m. on 6th January.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Colombia, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:20pm CET, 6 January 2021, there have been over 85.09 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 1.86 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
