
The Amelia Airlines arranged by Myanmar Embassy in Paris carrying totalling 31 Myanmar nationals stranded in France, Spain and neighbouring areas due to the suspension of international commercial airlines arrived at Yangon International Airport safely at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
Similarly, the 29th relief flight of Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) carrying 150 Myanmar nationals who stranded in Singapore also landed at Yangon International Airport at 6 p.m.
When they arrived in Yangon International Airport, the officials from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports, and the Yangon Region government helped for immigration process, medical tests, and arrangement for their 7-day quarantine at the specific areas or the designated hotels, and 7-day quarantine at home.
To bring back the Myanmar citizens who are stranded in foreign countries and Myanmar Seafarers by relief flights and chartered flights in accordance with the instructions from National-Level Central Committee on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperated with the relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies from respective countries.
