COVID-19 Control: Mask Campaign Conducted At Taungnyo Market In Nay Pyi Taw

As part of COVID-19 prevention and control, mask campaign was conducted at Taungnyo Market in Ottarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday morning.

Head of Ottarathiri Township Health Department, In-charge of Taungnyo station hospital, health workers, ward/village administrator and social organizations distributed face masks to sellers and buyers. They also conducted COVID-19 awareness to people.

The Head of Ottarathiri Township Health Department said that buyers and sellers need to wear masks for the prevention and control of Covid-19 infection.

Head, Ottarathiri Township Health Department, Dr.Lin PyiThein said “We will conduct the campaign till 4th December. The aim of conducting mask campaign is to practice wearing face masks to people and it is important for buyers and sellers in the market to prevent Covid-19 infection.”

One of the sellers from Kyaung Su Village in Oattarathiri Township expressed her feeling on the activity.

Seller, Kyaung Su Village, Oattarathiri Township, Mee Mee said “Although we are afraid of the disease, we have to make selling because we are people at grass-root level. Weam very thankful for distributing masks and raising awareness.”

The Township Health Department will continue to conduct mask campaign together with concerned departments at the remaining markets and public crowded areas.
