
A relief flight of Myanmar Airways International (MAI) arranged by Myanmar embassy in Kuala Lumpur landed at the Yangon International Airport at 5 p.m. on 23rd November bringing back a total of 170 Myanmar citizens who were stranded in Malaysia due to the period of international airlines’ flights suspension.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, Ministry of Health and Sports and Yangon Region Government undertook the health inspections and arranged for 7-days facility and Hotel quarantine and 7 days home quarantine.
Under the guidance of the ministry of foreign affairs, Myanmar embassy in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia is closely collaborating with the relevant organizations to bring back the undocumented Myanmar citizens and those who are detained in the detention centers in Malaysia under various circumstances to Myanmar by the relief flights as quickly as possible after scrutinizing their identities proved their citizenship and the relief flights have flown for 33 times to date, it is learnt.
