Providing assistance: Assistance For Households Under Stay-At-Home

Under the arrangement of COVID-19 Prevention Volunteer Group Southern Shan, the youths and civil society organizations are collecting fund in the Myoma market in Taunggyi starting Monday morning to provide assistance to over 600 stay-at-home imposed households in Myo Gyi village in Ywa Ngan Township, the southern Shan State.

Since the number of COVID-19 infected patients has increased in Myo Gyi village in Ywa Ngan Township, out of the households under stay-at-home program, more than 400 households need basic food stuff as people in the villages are odd-job workers.

The cash collected from the donation will go to purchasing food and tonic and these items will be provided to the villages, according to the volunteer Leader.

The fund will be collect in downtown Taunggyi for 2 days.
