COVID-19 Case: The 1st COVID-19 Patient Found In Kayah State

The lab specimens of quarantined people in Kayah State has been sent to the Public Health Laboratory in Taunggyi on 15 October and the 1st COVID-19 confirmed case was found in Kayah State, according to the lab results of the Laboratory.

The positive case was found from a woman who has been put at the quarantine center of Loikaw Education College in Kayah State. She is a senior nurse from Loikaw People’s Hospital and attended training in Yangon.

She returned from Yangon alone by renting a car on 5th October and arrived in Loikaw on 6th October and then has been quarantined at the education college. The patient is now in good health and receiving medical treatment at the Loikaw People’s Hospital.
