COVID-19 REPORT: MINISTRY REPORTS 1,123 NEW COVID-19 CASES AT 8 P.M. ON OCT. 13

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Tuesday reported 1,123 new COVID-19 cases after testing 13,258 lab specimens. 29 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 1,509 patients have been discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 30,437 with 693 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 13th of October, and 11,769 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.

Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
