

COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached over 22,000, and among them, around 15,000 cases have been found in Yangon Region.
In order to provide effective treatment to the COVID-19 patients, COVID-19 Treatment Centers and Quarantine facilities have been set up at many places in Yangon Region including Central Institute for Civil Service (PhaungGyi), AungMyintMo Housing in Dagon Myothit (South), Yoma Housing in Dagon Seikkan Township, Hlaing Campus, Thuwunna Football Academy, Fortune Plaza and Yangon Convention Center.
Well-wishers also made contribution for convenience of the patients at the centers. On 8th October, Tadmadaw donated 50 oxygen cylinders for the COVID-19 Treatment Center, opened at Aung Myint Mo Housing, which is being operated with the support of Shwe ThanLwin Company Limited and Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association (MLCA).
Chairman,Shwe Than Lwin Company Limited (SKY NET), Kyaw Win said "We have formed a working committee and made discussion with respective administrative organizations and medical officers from Aung Myint Mo Housing, Dagon SeikkanYoma 1 and 2. There are about 4000 patients at the centers and need oxygen supply. So, on 8th October, Tadmadaw donated 50 oxygen cylinders and accepted by medical superintendent of Aung Myint Mo. I’m really appreciated for Tadmadaw’s contribution instead of patients."
According to the report of the Ministry of Health and Sports, there are 22,445 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar with 535 deaths after testing more than 360,000 lab specimens as of 8th October.
