Order 113/2020 on the 5th of October for COVID-19 prevention and control

Ministry of Health and Sports issued the Order 113/2020 on the 5th of October for COVID-19 prevention and control.

The Ministry is exercising the rights in Article 21-(b) of the Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases Law to issue this order.

1. The Ministry of Health and Sports has issued Order 107/2020 on 20-9-2020 for the Stay-at-Home programme which covers people in all townships, except for Cocogyun Township, in Yangon Region as a part of real-time measures against prevention of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

2. The paragraph 3(c) of that order has stipulated that the workers at the factories and workplaces under the raw material and cut-make-pack (CMP) were not allowed for going to the works from 24-9-2020 to 7-10-2020.

3. The above-mentioned period will be extended from 8-10-2020 to 21-10-2020 for those businesses as the number of confirmed cases remains high in Yangon Region at present, and containment measure is still needed to prevent infection from the positive cases with no symptoms of COVID-19 in public areas.

4. Actions will be taken with existing laws against those who fail to follow this order.
