MEDICAL SERVICE: 50 DRIVERS AND CONDUCTORS RECEIVE ANTIGEN TEST

Through the Antigen test, Medical Recommendation Service was provided for the cargo truck drivers and conductors at Hpa-An Bus Terminal in order to achieve the smooth flow of commodities.

This service was to get easy access of goods transportation along with the approved COVID-19 negative medical certificate.

Head, Kayin State Public Health Department,
Dr. Kyaw Swar Myint said "Under the government guidance, we use this Antigen test as emergency service because there have some difficulties in the commodity flow. The service is for the bus drivers and conductors on the route of Myawaddy-Hpa-An-Yangon and other regions."

The officials and medical staffs from Kayin State Public Health Department are taking responsibility for medical testing and about 50 of drivers and conductors from freight express bus lines and cargo trucks at the terminal were tested.

Chairman, Hpa-An Multi Bus Lines Control Committee, Thein Tan said "I’ve ordered them to take Antigen test for their smooth transportation without difficulties. There are about 10 freight express bus lines and cargo truck at the terminal. So, about 50 of bus drivers and conductors were tested."

The bus drivers and conductors received COVID-19 testing with free of charge as the government provides cash assistance for this service.

Truck Driver, Aung Hein Paing said "We really glad to receive this service. We have to turn back when we have no recommendation. So, we faced difficulties at that time."

It is learnt that this medical recommendation service will largely support for smooth commodity flow during the time of COVID-19 outbreak.
