COVID-19 UPDATE: 264 NEW CASES FOUND AT 8 A.M. ON 21ST AUGUST

The Ministry of Health and Sports reported 264 new cases of COVID-19 found on Monday at 8:00 a.m. according to the lab results of the National Health Laboratory (Yangon), the Department of Medical Research, the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), the People’s Hospital in Pathein and No.1 1000-bed Defence Services Hospital (Yangon). A total of 2,683 lab specimens were tested and 264 new confirmed cases were found. As of 8:00 am on 21st September, there are 5,805 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar with 94 deaths.

According to the COVID-19 Dashboard of the World Health Organization (WHO) as of 20th September at 1:08 pm CEST, the World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 6.6 million confirmed cases, followed by India with over 5.4 million cases and Brazil with over 4.49 million cases.

The Russian Federation, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, South Africa, Spain, Argentina, Chile and France include in high confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Globally, there have been over 30.67 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 954,417 deaths, according to the WHO report.
