Covid-19 Prevention: MoHs Issues Order For Gatherings, Election Campaigns

Ministry of Health and Sports issued an order for COVID-19 prevention. It says gatherings and election campaigns for the upcoming 2020 General Elections in November 2020 will need to be held in line with guidelines for preventing, containing and treatment of COVID-19. Gatherings and election campaign activities may have a maximum of 50 people, depending on the size of the site and its location, while conducted in line with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the 2020 General Elections” to Order 88/2020 issued on 12-8-2020 allowing public gatherings of a maximum of 30 people.

Regarding the election gatherings and campaign activities, a distance of 6 feet must be maintained between each person, an area of 36 sq ft for each person must be considered in organizing space, the location must have good ventilation and the COVID-19 guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports must be closely followed.
