Floods In Pyay: Low-Lying Wards/Villages In Pyay Township Flooded

The swollen Ayeyawady River caused by torrential rains flood to some houses in low-lying wards/villages in Pyay Township, Bago Region.

The same event of floods happened in Pyay in the first week of August and a total of 616 houses were inundated by torrential rain and surging river water.

Out of the affected houses and households, 23 households in Pyithaya   ward, 20 households of 54 houses in Kone Tha Linn village-tract and 16 households of 69 houses in Zalon  village-tract have been evacuated and they have moved to the houses of their relatives, according to the township General Administrative Department.
