Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports 26 New Covid-19 Cases At 8:00 A.M. On 28th August

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Friday reported 26 new COVID-19 cases after testing 621 lab specimens as the second batch. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 628 with 6 deaths till 8:00 Am on 28th August.

While 349 patients have recovered from the disease, 339 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine. Totaling 1976 lab specimens were tested by the National Health Laboratory (NHL), Department of Medical Research (DMR), Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), Public Health Laboratory (Mawlamyaing) Sittwe People’s General Hospital, Kyaukphyu People’s General Hospital and 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital from 27th to the morning of 28th August.

 The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, India, Russian Federation, South Africa, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Spain and Chile, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 2:44 pm CEST, 27th August 2020, there have been over 24.02 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 821,462 deaths, reported to WHO.
