Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports 70 New Covid-19 Cases At 8:00 A.M. On 26th August

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday reported 70 new COVID-19 cases after testing 825 lab specimens as the second batch.

COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 574 with 6 deaths till 8:00 Am on 26th August. While 341 patients have recovered from the disease, 339 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

Totaling 1475 lab specimens were tested by the National Health Laboratory (NHL), Department of Medical Research (DMR), Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), Sittwe People’s General Hospital and No.1 1000 Tatmadaw Hospital (Yangon) from 25th to the morning of 26th August.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, India, Russian Federation, South Africa, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Spain, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 3:49 pm CEST, 25th August 2020, there have been over 23.5 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 810,492 deaths, reported to WHO.
